While I have not written a blog recently, I have been posting and planning for my YouTube channel. Yesterday my review for the movie, Knock at the Cabin (2023) went live and I wanted to share it with you since I missed blogging!
The film stars Dave Bautista (Drax from Guardians of the Galaxy), Jonathan Groff (King George from Hamilton), Ben Aldridge, and Rupert Grint (Ronald Weasley from Harry Potter).
Knock at the Cabin became free to watch on Amazon Prime for Prime members which gave me the opportunity to watch it at my leisure. So, of course, I decided to watch it right before bed one night, very smart for an M. Night Shyamalan movie. (I was Valedictorian.)
The film is widely categorized as a horror film, but I found it to be more psychological with some semblance of a mystery. It invites the audience to question: Who can you trust? What are the realistic options? Is there a safe way out?
Going into the film, I knew I was giving it a try because Rupert Grint was involved and I wanted to be blown away by M. Night Shyamalan’s storytelling capacities. Previous films of Night’s have left me both terrified and deeply disappointed.
Watch my full review below to find out if Knock at the Cabin belongs to the former or later category…
I would deeply appreciate if you subscribed to my YouTube channel. If you’re feeling extra nice, liking the video and leaving a comment really helps my videos get out there. Thank you for supporting my love for films.
